I’m Not Running Away—I'm Choosing a New Life
There is a difference between running away from your life and choosing a new one.
For a long time, I thought starting over meant admitting that something had gone wrong. That maybe I should have stayed longer, tried harder, explained myself one more time, or waited for things to somehow become different.
But I've learned something:
You don't have to stay in a life that no longer feels like yours just because you once prayed for it.
Sometimes, starting over isn't failure.
Sometimes, it's freedom.
I'm Choosing Peace
My next chapter isn't about proving anything to anyone.
It's not about disappearing.
It's not about pretending the past didn't happen.
It's about deciding that the rest of my life deserves to feel different.
I've experienced seasons that taught me how to survive. I've experienced moments that forced me to become stronger than I ever wanted to be.
But surviving and living aren't the same thing.
And I'm ready to live.
That's what Protect My Peace™ means to me.
It means learning that access to me is a privilege.
It means creating boundaries without feeling guilty.
It means choosing relationships that feel healthy instead of familiar.
It means recognizing that peace doesn't have to be earned after everything is fixed.
Peace can be the starting point.
Why Travel?
Travel has always represented something bigger to me than getting on a plane.
Travel represents possibility.
A new city can remind you that the world is bigger than the situation you're currently in.
A new country can show you that there are different ways to live.
And sometimes, stepping away from everything familiar gives you enough space to finally hear your own thoughts.
That's part of what I'm looking for.
Not an escape.
Perspective.
I want to wake up somewhere I've never been.
Walk streets I've never seen.
Meet people whose lives look completely different from mine.
Try foods I've never tasted.
Get lost and find my way back.
And most importantly, discover who I am when I'm not constantly responding to everyone else's expectations.
My Next Chapter
Thailand is part of that next chapter.
But Thailand isn't the destination of the story.
I am.
The places I'll visit are simply going to become the backdrop for a much bigger transformation.
I'm rebuilding.
I'm learning.
I'm letting go.
I'm dreaming again.
And I'm creating a life that doesn't require me to constantly recover from living it.
That last part is important.
Because I don't want a life where I spend my time recovering from the life I'm living.
I want mornings that feel peaceful.
I want experiences that make me feel alive.
I want relationships that don't require me to abandon myself.
I want the freedom to change directions.
I want to see the world.
I want to create.
I want to love.
I want to laugh.
I want to become the woman I've spent years trying to find.
To the Woman Who Is Starting Over
Maybe you're reading this from a place where you feel stuck.
Maybe you're rebuilding after a relationship.
Maybe you're starting over financially.
Maybe your children have grown and you're wondering who you are outside of being someone's mother.
Maybe you've spent years taking care of everyone else and suddenly realized you don't know what you want anymore.
Maybe you're simply tired.
If that's you, I want you to know something:
Starting over doesn't mean starting from nothing.
You are starting with experience.
You are starting with wisdom.
You are starting with lessons.
You are starting with a stronger understanding of what you will and will not accept.
And you are starting with yourself.
That's enough.
Protect Your Peace
I created Her Peace Collective™ because I believe women deserve reminders that their lives belong to them.
The suitcase.
The luggage tag.
The journal.
The workbook.
They're products, yes.
But they're also symbols.
The suitcase represents movement.
The luggage tag represents identity.
The journal represents reflection.
The workbook represents action.
And together, they represent something bigger:
The decision to stop surviving and start building.
That's the journey I'm on.
And I'm inviting you to come with me.
Not because I have everything figured out.
I don't.
But because maybe we don't need to have everything figured out before we begin.
Maybe we just need enough courage to take the next step.
So I'm taking mine.
One flight.
One country.
One boundary.
One dream.
One new chapter at a time.
I'm not running away.
I'm choosing a new life.
And this time, I'm building one I don't want to escape from.
